Painting calipersBabyBlu015 07-05-2002, 10:34 PM I've seen a lot of cars that expose a lot of the breaking system with painted calipers. How do you do this and with what paint? Does it have any performance setbacks as far as the functioning of the breaks? I just thought it looked cool but i'm all about looks and have no clue whether it is actually good or bad for the car. thanks. Ace$nyper 02-18-2003, 05:50 PM For the paints you should use high heat paints. Either for engines or brakes. they have some chems to not melt. I don't know about anydown sides of painting them. You gotta clean the calipers first otherwise the paint always look bad. endlesskev86 02-26-2003, 09:49 PM there is a certain product that is speciallizd in painting the caliper... you need to take the caliper out and give it a good clean and sand before you attempt to paint it....
