Help - My 1993 Buick Century just died!!!

I was driving home, went to take off from a stop and nothing happened. There is no forward gears - cars drives great in reverse. There was no slipping, grinding or any notice whatsoever prior to this. Any idea what the problem may be? Do-it-yourself is the only option, would prefer not to have to replace tranny. Heard it might be the tranny solenoid. Thx.

Fluid full? A solenoid will not cause no forward, plan on getting into the trans.

I agree with maxwedge, if the fluid is at the proper level you will probably need a new transmission. Check the local wrecking yards for the best price.
