HELP!!!!!!

I recently got my hands on a really clean XR3i - all original and in great condition....

The electric hood didn't work though so I operated it manually and it seemed fine although the nearside was catching were it goes into the runners above the back seat.

I then discovered that there wasn't any oil in the hydrolics so I bled the system as described in the Haynes manual......only problem is that now the hood won't close fully. I'm left with an inch and a half gap.

I have tied rope to the handles and tried pulling it shut with a landrover

I have re-bled the system

I have tried operating it manually with the hydrolic stopper off so as to release the pressure

Anyone with any ideas PLEASE let me know!!!!
