Quick Question w/cool video!2000blazerls 03-15-2006, 08:40 PM Ok, not Blazer related because it is a Firebird but it could be Blazer related if I had a 7.0 so I will ask it here anyway. Watch this vid http://videos.streetfire.net/video/wm/109B6AA9-7370-45E9-81F2-0CBE4A458144.htm What is the red light he turns on and off on the dash before and after warming up the tires and secondly what is that little switch he holds in his right hand before he leaves the line? I am not a drag guy so I do not know what those things do. Thanks! blazee 03-15-2006, 09:00 PM The red light was a line lock switch. You pump up the brakes and flip the switch, and it holds the pressure on just the front brakes. This let's you do a better burn out without burning up the rear pads. The switch in his hand was the transbrake. It locks the tranny in 1st and reverse, so that you can spool up the torque convertor with out actually sending any power to the wheels. Think of it kinda like a clutch for an automatic. 2000blazerls 03-15-2006, 09:13 PM Ahh, thanks for the info. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
