Does anyone know the tooth count on a 3.42 differential, or know where to find any codes or numbering on the unit itself. The reason I ask is that I am going to swap out my tired rear end, for a newer one with disc setup. I think Rilth you swapped yours out?? If anyone could give me some info, as I am going to look at this rear end tomorrow and would like to check it out before I buy it and make sure its an actual 3.42(thats what I have). The seller has no idea, and I don't want to make a mistake, because I'll have to be looking for more parts if its the wrong ratio:banghead: . Thanks

Well, I went ahead and bought it. It is from a 98 blazer 4x4, with about 90km on it. Complete disc, everything is there, the price was to good to refuse, and it was in great condition. Now I just hope its the proper ratio(I'll find out tomorrow).
