HI, I'm new to this, I have a 01 SS, black with the racing decals, I bought the car back in April, to me its an OK car, I can smoke the front tires off the line all the way through first gear but once the car hits second gear its like driving in a Ford Escort, slow with very little power, the car just turned 51,000 any ideas of what to do for more power in higher gears??want to put a supercharger on it but was told the pistons are different from the stock SS and the stock supercharger SS, that if I added a supercharger the pistons wont last!!!any ideas would be great!!

Hey, I Also Have A 01 Monte Ss. It Has 59000 Miles On It. I Just Went Through A Day Of It Running Like Crap And Figured Out That The Cat. Convertor Was Bad And It Was On A Recall Of Sort And The Dealership Replaced It Free Of Charge. Now It Is A Screaming Bad Boy Like It Was New. Might Try That, I Know My Car Was Fine In First Gear Then When It Got A Heavy Load On It It Wouldnt Run At All. Hope That Helps Let Me Know.... Hotrod2001
