Okay. Since I bought the car, it had security problems.

Sometimes I would get in and the security light would come on and the car wouldnt start. . . I woudl have to wait..

Eventually I put in a new radio. It got worse..

Now, my car wont start and the security light blinks....

I checked the key to see if it was bad, and put in a new ignition switch....

WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE?!

I my 95 the security wire harness is the same as the Cruise control Wire harness. There may be a short in the Cruise Control Wire harness that is causing the security system to mess up.
Good luck.

Ok. I was assuming that. The parts name is the ignition switch...

I replaced that but it didn't help.

After spending my whole tax return on it, an auto lab was able to tell me it was the tumbler.... the contacts on the key resistor inside it werent making contact, so it couldn't read the resistor in the key, and therefor wouldnt allow me to start the car...

SO, after anger set in, I popped the resistor out of my key and broke open my steering column (this is while being stuck in a town for 3 days and spending ALL of my cash)... I found the wires that went into the tumbler and rigged the resistor between them... It worked and i finally could go home..

Thanks

What you could have done was read the resistance of the key and make up a resistor pak from say Radio Shack and plug into the body side connector of the harness under the s/column, 2 small white wires, you may still do this to permanently by pass worrying about the key switch.
