Help! Keyless Remote for 2000 Dodge CaravanJen.S. 03-09-2006, 10:02 PM Hi, I've busted my keyless remote for my 2000 Dodge Caravan and purchased 2 spares. The problem is that I need the original remote to program the 2 spares. Is there anyway to program the spares without the original remote? dbfordtech 03-12-2006, 02:06 PM Yes, Take it to your local Dodge dealer and they can use the DRB to program them. Onblsht 03-12-2006, 08:47 PM Yes - you definately need the DRB scantool for programming without a current functional remote. Any local Chrysler dealership should have one, and some will program the remotes for free, since it is a very quick & simple process. RIP 03-12-2006, 08:55 PM Before you go to the dealer try calling an Autozone or PepBoys. I know they have the scanners and will connect and give you error codes for free. Not sure if they will reprogram remotes. I'd hate to see anybody give a dealer money if they don't have to. Cheers! bodygard 05-29-2006, 10:41 PM also some locksmith shops offer this service and a a lot cheaper than going to the dealer. bodygard 05-29-2006, 10:41 PM also some locksmith shops offer this service and are a lot cheaper than going to the dealer. bodygard 05-29-2006, 10:43 PM some locksmiths also offer this service and are a lot cheaper than your local dealer. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
