Folks,

Sometimes my gas guage gets stuck on E. I have been riding around with my fingers crossed for a couple days now, but pretty soon the worse could happen -- my fingers could get tired, or I could even run out of gas.

Can I repair this myself or is this a job for the dealer. I have already been quoted a price in the hundreds to, not have the work done, but do diagnostic testing.

What can be done in the interim.

lol

check if your guage cluster is good
Or the needle (whatever its called) in your gas tank may be faulty
good luck

If your temp gauge goes waky when your temp gauge does, then send me an PM with an e-mail and I'll send you a PFD document I have written on the subject.

It's a pretty simple $3 fix that can be bought at Radio Shack/The source. As long as you've used a soldering iron and are willing to take your instrument cluster out yourself.

Mine is a 90, but I beleive it'll work for both.

Pull the carpet in the cargo area, then open up the little round door in the floor. Check the wiring on top of the fuel tank, it's notorious for corroding and snapping off.
