Removing center trim to remove radio 01 Pathfinder97Bird 03-06-2006, 07:27 PM How do you remove the wood grain trim panel around the radio and cd changer in a 2001 Pathfinder? circeseye 03-07-2006, 02:33 AM if you dont see any screws anywhere it might be held in by pressure clips and should pop out. or you could go buy a repair manual that should have a detailed list to do to remove :) 97Bird 03-07-2006, 07:23 PM It's not my vehicle and the people are going to sell it so buying a manual to remove a piece of trim is out of the question. I was hoping someone in here would know how to remove it. I don't want to break it by trying to pop it off unless I know for sure that's how it is done. RJL766 03-07-2006, 09:51 PM I've done this on my '02, and I'm almost positive it's the same for an '01. Remove the middle air vents (the 2 vents come off in one piece). Your best bet is to pry them off with a regular screwdriver, but wedge a piece of cloth in between the unit and dashboard, and your screwdriver so you don't crack/break anything. After you get the piece out, you'll see two screws at the top holding in the trim. Remove those, pry that piece off (screwdriver method works fine here, too), and then you'll see how the radio is held in place. Hope this works. -RJL 97Bird 03-08-2006, 05:05 PM Thanks, I'll try it later. 97Bird 03-12-2006, 02:37 PM On the 01 the vents are in back of the woodgrain panel. The bottom half pulled out but as soon as you get up to the climate control area it is held in tightly and I don't qant to break it by pulling on it to hard. Anyone else know how to get this panel off? Axelpkt 04-09-2006, 08:42 PM vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
