98 civic light brake pedalrushb18 03-06-2006, 06:36 PM well i searched trough here and just got a bunch of stuff on conversions and all.. my 98 civic lx dont have much of a brake pedal.. I was going to put new pads on took rim off and the pads on Front and Back side of the rotor looks to be in great shape.. Any ideas on what to check or do to get a full pedal, my 98 hatch was like this also and the person who has it now lost the brakes... So i really dont want this to happen to mine.. Thx later bluevp00 03-06-2006, 06:45 PM Did you check your brake fluid level? If the level is low, the brake lines may have air trapped in them - this gives the brake pedal a "spongy" feel (you also may be able to hear an air sound if you listen closely). The only solution for this is to bleed the brake fluid until all the air is out of the system. It's pretty easy to do at home, but it takes time & it's a 2 person job at least (3 is better). rushb18 03-06-2006, 07:45 PM ok i figured id bleed the brakes just have to get my cousin over here to help me... Just didnt know cause the car sat so long... Thx later vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
