Opel Calibra DTM "Opel Line"! Is it a rare kit?

Does anybody have any information about this kit? Is it rare? As you can see on the pictures it is the regular Opel Calibra DTM "Joest"-kit, with extra decals and a different paint scheme.

I have a chance of purchasing it. But I don´t know, whether it´s worth the money.

Please help. Now some pics for reference:

It's so rare that I've never even seen this particular version before. My guess is it was made specifically for the German market.

Regular Caluibra kits are quite rare nowadays too, actually.

Wow, never seen this one, I would think it is country specific, the German and French markets have done this with many different Tamiya models. Rare to see one with different box art though. I would grab it if the price is reasonable, even the regular Calibra's are getting harder to find.

I'd get it just for the orange backed decal sheet, that's something you don't see every day. :)

Yep it's rare. I asked a similar question about two Tamiya Mercedes C-Class kits I found on eBay ages ago and the response was that they were made by the German distributor for Tamiya IIRC. They were only available in Germany and are obviously very rare now. The C-Class kits I mentioned were in a similar style, one was a brown UPS version but i've forgotten the other one, I'll have to look them up. They're from the ITC era of the DTM which is around '96 to '97 I believe. They all have have the same style new decal sheet and the same style of box art.

So my advice, get it

I guess the one you mean is the yellow c - class Promarkt Zakspeed AMG and the Green TABAC-SONAX

They were standard Tamiya fare, not particularly rare.

I did see one of the UPS C class mercedes but I also forget what the other one was. I do remember it was the same as one of the DMC decals for the Merc though..

The guy I can have this from also has a C-Class "Daim" and a dark C-Class "Warsteiner". But he won´t sell those.

No, they are the standard C-Class kits Tamiya produced. One was a black Warsteiner C-Class and the other was a brown UPS version. They were intended for the German market only and would have been released at the same time as this Calibra.

Here are pictures of them:
