Air HosesEgonR 03-04-2006, 05:50 AM I see pictures of car with after market intakes and intercoolers and shit. And I wonder where they stick there air hoses. On the stock airbox there are like a million hoses that spider to diff places. Well When I look on the pics those hoses are there. I was wondering where these hoses need to go if I installed an after market intake? fcdriver 03-04-2006, 07:16 AM Depending on what model RX-7 you're talking about I guess it would differ, but on the second gen's you can remove the air pump and do away with the filter hose running to the intake box, or put a small filter on it if you keep all the emissions hooked up. FDTT 03-04-2006, 02:20 PM Im confused at what you are talking about. On a turbo model there are 3 hoses going to the accordian hose. One from the air pump, one for recirc of the bypass valve and one ambient air passage. Are you talking about the large number of vacume hoses? drftk1d 03-08-2006, 12:20 PM i think this guy has a 3rd gen badassfocus1101 03-10-2006, 04:52 PM aparently, caz like FDTT said...theres only 3 FDTT 03-11-2006, 01:12 PM With an FD you can almost cap all the lines, there are a few vac lines that you can cap. One will go to the bypass avalve, otheres go down to the w/g. Pull it out, and cap them if thats the case. EgonR 03-17-2006, 10:59 PM I do have a 3rd Gen. I got all but two hoses hooked up. One is the Intake hose to the smog pump and i dont know what the other is. I have been lookin online for a diagram but am unable to find one. if anyone can help I would be very appreciative. drftk1d 03-18-2006, 03:23 AM look in faq for fsm vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
