So my cousin has a 95(?) neon and is putting in a used aftermarket deck. he wants to be able to play his laptop through his car speakers but the deck doesnt have rca inputs.:frown: is there a way to do this?

if the speakers have mini amps(like my 240 does) i was thinking i could put in a switch into the remote power wire to bypass the deck to still get power to the speakers but not have to use the deck. i would then splice a headphone type jack into all six(two subs) speaker wires(three to the left wire and three to the right wire) would this work????:dunno:

i know it would probably be easiest to just by a new deck with auxilory ins but he got the deck for free and doesnt really want to go spend 100+ on a new deck.

any input would be appreciated.

There is no '93 neon, they started production in '95. Anyway, what you are proposing, in theory, sounds like it should work. But honestly, I'd rather get a new deck and do it right instead of all the cutting and splicing.
