the D on drive is flashingblazin911 03-02-2006, 03:32 PM my transmission is running slugish it doesnt pull quickly it takes time for it to get to speed, can anyone tell me what this means im not honda experienced blazin911 bluevp00 03-02-2006, 06:14 PM It could be a whole lot of things with the transmission thats having problems. But first and foremost, check your fluid level and condition. If it's brownish red or dark brown, it's burned - time for a fluid change. If the fluid/level is fine, then work from there. A sluggish trans could caused by mechanical problems within the transmission, or it can be caused by faults in the car's onboard computer. Do you also have a check engine light on? If so, run the codes and see what you come up with. You said the "D" is flashing, leading me to believe that there maybe is a fault in one of the trans. sensors somewhere. However, i've never heard of the "D" light flashing in Hondas - does it flash in constant flashes, or do the flashes fluctuate? blazin911 03-03-2006, 08:52 AM it flaxhes steadily and yes the engine light is on the trans was changed but im thinking that who ever did the work didnt realy change anything if you know what i mean. bluevp00 03-03-2006, 10:43 AM In this case, I would take it to another shop for a second opinion - preferrably a transmission shop. If they find something wrong with the new trans, then you need to get things straightned out with the origional shop (the one that did the work). See if you can get some, or all of your money back from the shop (might be very hard, but still try). Then get your repairs done at another shop. blazin911 03-06-2006, 11:34 PM to much time has elapsed, fluid checked out ok and no wires are loose, have not had it scanned yet, when i do ill tell you what i find, thanks blazin911 rushb18 03-07-2006, 07:06 AM why not scan the code yourself, on pass side under dash right above ecu you will find a 2 wire plug, it should be tucked in a Neon green type pouch right above ECU, pull that down and out...take speaker wire or a paper clip one hole into the other.. Flip key on, but dont turn car on and count how many times it flashes.. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=682412 THeres a thread that explains it better i keep that in my favorites, Thats for a 92-95 civic showing it but you do it the same way.. You can take it to autozone to scan, but if you dont have time id just go outside and do this it will save you on gas and everything... Just posting this up so you know this later on and you may not have time or be close to anyplace that can scan it... later blazin911 03-10-2006, 08:11 PM hey rushb18 thanks for the info it worked but i have a code45 and 70 i cant find the second code on the list the only thing i find is 700 which is automatic trans which i have a problem with blazin911 03-11-2006, 09:11 AM honda civic dx code 45 70 any body know what they mean blazin911 03-11-2006, 01:39 PM honda civic dx code 45 70 any body know what they mean need to know the meaning of these codes blazin911 03-11-2006, 03:35 PM hey mt2500 can you please tell me the meaning of these codes 45 70 thanks blazin1925 TNRabbit 05-05-2006, 06:32 AM The codes were on the how to link he gave you; here they are again: 1 O2A - Oxygen sensor #1 2 O2B - Oxygen sensor #2 3 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor 4 CKP - crank position sensor 5 MAP - manifold absolute pressure sensor 6 ECT - water temperature sensor 7 TPS - throttle position sensor 8 TDC - top dead centre sensor 9 CYP - cylinder sensor 10 IAT - intake (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=682412#) air temperature sensor 12 EGR - exhaust gas recirculation lift valve 13 BARO - atmospheric pressure sensor 14 IAC (EACV) - idle air control valve 15 Ignition output signal 16 Fuel (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=682412#) injectors 17 VSS - speed sensor 19 Automatic transmission (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=682412#) lockup control valve 20 Electrical load detector 21 VTEC spool solenoid valve 22 VTEC pressure valve 23 Knock sensor 30 Automatic transmission A signal 31 Automatic transmission B signal 36 traction control found on JDM ecu's 41 Primary oxygen sensor heater 43 Fuel supply system 45 Fuel system (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=682412#) too rich or lean 48 LAF - lean air fuel sensor 54 CKF - crank fluctuation sensor 58 TDC sensor #2 61 Primary oxygen sensor 63 Secondary oxygen sensor 65 Secondary oxygen sensor heater 71 random misfire cylinder 1 72 random misfire cylinder 2 73 random misfire cylinder 3 74 random misfire cylinder 4 rushb18 05-06-2006, 11:48 PM P0700 Automatic Transmission Control System prolly that one is what it means...
