I started my new project last week. I was at home because some flu so I had time to modeling.
I started with the engine. I decided to add some more detail, like injection system and radiatior hoses, real springs and other stuff.
During the building some very strange problems occured. I realized that some part are missing. Not only from the box but alos from the instruction sheet. Simply it was not produced. Like the tube between the intercooler and the turbo...
Here are the pics:

*cough* *cough* I feel a flu coming on! ;)

If that's what flu does to one's modelling skills, besides the extra time, I'm off to lay outside tonight! Great job!

Is this the Konica Minolta version? I seem to remember there is also a Taka-Q version as well... I think.

I've been hanging out to build the Minolta version. Anyway, looks like a great job you're doing so far. The CF on the intakes looks great - have you cleared over the top of the CF decals?

Yes, this will be the Minolta version.

No, the CF is not clear coated only polished with compound

Very nice! What did you use for all the hex-nut type pieces?
Also, are you using (or do you know if there are any available) any detail sets for this kit?

The engine is looking VERY good, and I can't wait to see you tackle the bodywork.

Hex nuts are from Sakatsu. They have a lot of different size and type.
I have the Studio27 p/e set but unfortuantelly a lot of parts are incorrect and has wrong size thus they cannot be used.

This is one of my favorite lemans cars along with the Jaguar XJR-9LM and the Nissan 89C. You have a great eye for detail, its so god that its a shame to put it inside the car. The engine alone is a work of art! Keep up the good work.. Well Done!

Wondeful, Geronimo: amazing plumbing job. Lot of finishing difference from that great engine and undetailed brakes, I guess those aren't finished (PE?)

Stunning.
