~Progress~ Tamiya 350zFeint Motion 03-01-2006, 11:05 PM This is going to be a pretty quick project. I really hate the detail on the bottom of the chassis. Very hard to paint. So this 350z get the flat black treatment. The paint is sherwin williams Ebony Black, with Green pearl. The wheels I forget. I just slaped a Rays decal on since they looks like them in a way. The car still needs to be cleared one more time. The seats are Sparco racing seats. I guess this is a twin of my silvia. :) After this, no more black cars. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2938.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2935.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2934.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2933.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2932.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2931.jpg evo8owner 03-02-2006, 12:04 AM Nice Start, It Looks Like Your Starting A Drift Team In Scale! Looking Forward To This Build As Much As I Did The S15!! mugenhb 03-02-2006, 01:40 AM I like the look so far the only suggestion I have is to sand down the wheel centers and make them 5 lug or center lock ( single lug ). Steve digitalbanzai 03-02-2006, 03:53 AM I like the look so far the only suggestion I have is to sand down the wheel centers and make them 5 lug or center lock ( single lug ). Steve Yep, no 4-Lug Z out there. Looks great so far though, aren't those wheels from a WRC kit? NissanSkylineGTR98 03-02-2006, 04:48 PM Looks like a good start, those white wheels go nice with the black body. Feint Motion 03-02-2006, 07:13 PM I plan on getting some Aoshima Te37's to replace the four lug. These are Temperarory wheels. eph2 03-02-2006, 08:39 PM Nice start.. The rims looks great!!! Feint Motion 03-04-2006, 07:28 PM updates. I picked some new wheels, I like these better. These wheels are Nismo R34 wheels, with a lip. They need to be painted, Im going to paint them Gold. 8) The 350z has been cleared again, Im now buffing it out still. Now you can kinda see the pearl Green I was talkn about. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2946.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2944.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2943.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2942.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2939.jpg I hope to add more details real soon. I plan on adding a roll cage. toyota00 03-04-2006, 08:41 PM The second pair of rims are sick... They look so good on that car. I can't wait to see more. AstroRide44 03-04-2006, 10:46 PM i think the dish is wayyyyy to big in the front. the wheels are soposed to be stagared, not the same. Feint Motion 03-04-2006, 11:31 PM i think the dish is wayyyyy to big in the front. the wheels are soposed to be stagared, not the same. I disagree. The wheels arent even mounted yet, mabe thats why. AstroRide44 03-05-2006, 01:25 AM im not talking about how far in the wheel will sit in the wheel well, im talking about how big the lip is on the front wheel. Samurai75007 03-05-2006, 01:27 AM http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/KonArtist/HPIM2942.jpg That's something deep. Keep up the good work dude. mugenhb 03-05-2006, 02:13 AM I like the new wheels, but I agree with astroride44 the lip on the front wheels are too deep. I would either make the front lip shallower or the rear lip deeper. Don't mind me just a suggestion. enjoying the build so far, looking forward to more progress. Steve sportracer02 03-05-2006, 02:29 AM Looks good so far, nice colour, I´m looking forward to see some outdoor pics. Wheels look good, maybe the fronts are a little bit too deep energon 03-05-2006, 02:37 AM Lookin great so far. I kind of have to agree a little on the depth of the front wheels. But it is a model afterall, and it still looks great! Keep it commin! Feint Motion 03-10-2006, 08:40 PM Thanks for the commnent. The other wheels, I didnt like. So looks like im still on the hunt for some nice looking wheels to flow with this Z33. If anyone has any suggestions, fill me in, right now im brain dead on the wheels. On the other hand, the paint is finished. :sunglasse Buffed out with 3M fine rubing compound. Surry for the lame updates, Its very cold and rainy here in Cali, I cant do any painting till it warm ups a bit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2980.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2977.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2976.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/FeintMotion/HPIM2975.jpg G-man422 03-10-2006, 08:45 PM that paint is great! nice. energon 03-10-2006, 10:12 PM Paint looks SAWEEEET! I like the deep dish look on this car. I'm sure whatever wheels you choose it'll look great! MoeSzyslak73 03-11-2006, 11:54 AM this car looks so mean! Do you decide to give it a wing or keep it wingless? willimo 03-11-2006, 09:20 PM I really dug the original wheels, to be honest. But whatever. The paint work is looking great.
