1998 Bonnie Caliper Bolts

There is a rubber seal around the caliper bolts on my front 98 Bonnie. Does this have to be removed b4 taking out bolts, or does it even come out?

Welcome to AF!

When you remove the bolts the rubber boots should stay in place. They are designed to allow the caliper to move but keep dirt and water out.
