I bought a 98 SLK, and one of the rubber buffers (Mercedes terminology) is missing. This is the rubber bumper thing that the folded top stack sits on in the trunk. The local Mercedes dealer had a replacement one, but it is much different than the other one on my car. The new one had a rubber arrowhead type thingy on the bottom. My car has what looks like a vertical rod with a nickel on top. The rubber buffer would slip over this. Has anyone dealt with this problem? :dunno:
