I have a 96 Bonn Se and I recently replaced the spark plugs and wires and the car runs like a dream until I reach 51-52 mph and the car jerks like a bad spark plug wire or like its choking for fuel I also replaced the fuel filter I just purchased the car and it didn't start this problem until I did the tune up on the car I was wondering what's the best way to check for a bad spark plug wire or coil packs. Thanks

pull the plug wire, put a screw driver in it and hold the the metal screwdriver shaft about a hair from the ground on the engine while someone turns over the engine. if it shoots a spark across the gap, it is putting out ok. Be careful to hang on to the plastic end of the screw driver or you will get one hell of a jolt when it shoots the gap. Test each one to see if coil is putting out. sounds like a broken plug wire to me that shorts under load.

i had a 89 sse that did the same thing ,and when I changed plugs and wires it stopped.Definitely seems like something is not right with plugs or wires ,possible coil or ICM.What plugs and wires did you use and were they gapped properly.

Yep, bad spark plug wires from Autozone exchanged wires and replaced and the car runs perfect again.
