i am doing a engine swap in a 93 cherokee 4.0 HO could not find another HO motor but some jeep places are telling me 1987-94 you can use any 4.0 just put everything from the highoutput engine on the stock 4.0 longblock and the only thing i was told i will have to buy is the pilot bearing due to different diameter hole at the back of the crank.and should bolt up and work fine the only difference is it wont be 190 horse compared to 170hp of the stock motor.so i found a 88 cherokee 4.0 automatic and would like to hear from a couple more people to be sure this swap will work the HO cherokee is a manual trans the 88 is a auto any info would help thanks
