shift delay

i have a 96 blazer 4X4 and have had trobel with it haveing a delay shifting in to 2 same as blazerLT in form http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=388440&highlight=12167310

so i thougt it was slipping so started out in 1 and floored it no slip did the stall test no slip.put it in 2 and floored it it down shifted my dads 96 bravada does not do this. does any one elses blazer downshft out of 2 when gear sel in 2 wat is cauesing the delay and if i keep driving it will it burn the cluctes up thanks

May be time to check it for the updated PCM wiring change over.
What engine and trans?
Has it ever been serviced? What is the milege? Pull the transmission pan and check the filter and see if anything is in the bottom of the transmission pan.
I think BlazerLT said his was leaking coolant into the tarns fluid.
If yours has that problem you cans see signs of coolant in the bottom of trans pan like orange or green tint.
Does yours have a PCM or VCM . What is the built date and VCM or PCM service no?

This could be a few things. I doubt its the TSB for the ground, as it relates to the P1870 code. Do you have any trouble codes come up? Pull the pan, and take a look at the condition of the fluid and see if you see anything. If you have no trouble codes, and your fluid is good no metal or fricition material in the pan, I would be taking a close look at the valve body, and the servo pistions.

Yip, you need the updated tranny PCM ground.

I will be installing it this week.

thanks for repling mine has the 16244210 number and i changed the filter and fluid it has 126000miles and has the 4l60 4.3vortec wat would it cost to get the servo fixed at a shop dont have the time could it still need the update

Itr isn't the servo, it is the ground for the tranny portion of the PCM.

The internal ground is not adequate and causes high line pressure.

Yes as said the servo can cause shifting problems on it to.
I will check your VCM no.
Not that the info here is not good but here is a link to a good transmission man.

it is sed if you have the number you do not need the update

True, it will cause it, but most 1-2 shift flares are caused by the bad ground.
