Decoding The V.I.N.Acer911 02-26-2006, 07:45 PM Hey guys, I just bought a BMW 318is and I would like to know how to interpret the car's VIN. I know what each number represents (ie. 1st number is from which country...etc) but how do i interpret the letters....like for example what does W stand for in the first letter and so on.... id really appreciate your help. thanks. p.s. ill be posting more threads since i just got this car today. are there any websites where i can find usefull information or not so expensive parts for sale. thanks again.
