Dash-only Lights Not Workingsteeda763 02-26-2006, 05:22 PM 1991 240sx (non-HUD) I was wondering if anybody had an idea about this. At night I drove over to a friend's house (with everything working) and left it overnight. Then when I picked it up the next night and turned on the lights, the gauge cluster and A/C control lights didn't come on. I checked all the fuses, swapped headlight control switches, and messed around with the dimmer switch. All the warning lights and turn signal lights still work fine. Any ideas? -Justin slideways... 02-26-2006, 05:24 PM wiring? steeda763 02-26-2006, 05:36 PM Didn't change anything on the wiring. The car was left alone overnight. AkinaSpeedStar 02-26-2006, 05:38 PM could be a wire came lose or something like that, check the wires that suply the power and ground for theose lights. D-Bo 02-26-2006, 08:04 PM loose wire or burnt bulb steeda763 02-26-2006, 08:25 PM Also, the Lights-on warning bell doesn't not come on when turning the lights on and the keys out. This rules out a burnt bulb. I'm pretty sure it's not a loose wire either as it literally happened over night with the car just sitting... sidewayzS13 02-26-2006, 09:28 PM stranger things have happened maybe some wirs got crossed sometimes shit like that can happen over night i know its strange D-Bo 02-28-2006, 01:05 PM did you check relays? it could also be a wire coming from your harness steeda763 02-28-2006, 05:39 PM Just in case somebody is still following this thread, I fixed the problem. The small white box (I guess the TCU) located behind the driver side kickpanel had to be disconnected and reconnected. Don't ask me why -- My career is electronics (Air Force) and "re-seating cables" fixes about 50% of all problems. -Justin vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
