93 bonneville loosing power while drivingdanwhite131 02-25-2006, 01:16 PM I have a 1993 bonneville. I bought the car about a year ago. Around 6 months ago the car starting having a bizzare problem. I will be driving the car and the power will completley die. It does not sputter or give any clue that it is about to die...the power just goes completley out. In order for the car to restart it must be put into the park position, sometimes it will take just a minute to restart and other times it will take 15-20 minutes. There doesnt seem to be any specific signs of when it is going to die, its pretty much random. Does anyone have any suggestions of what I should check/do to try and remedy the problem? thanks for the help. maxwedge 02-25-2006, 01:55 PM When it won't start check for spark and fuel pressure. When my 94 Bonne SE did this the first time it was the onboard computer malfunctioning, got a rebuilt one. Later it would stall while coasting, as up to a stop sign. It was the egr valve the second time. Good luck with it. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
