'90 clutch problem

I need some input on this problem. It started with a light smooth chatter type sound as the pedal was released (in all gears). So I tried to bleed it. It still did it for a few more times and now I can't get it to go into any gear with it running. The fluid level is fine.
Any Ideas before I check the clutc plate? I don't want to drop the tranny if I don't have to.
Thanks,

I had a hydraulic problem with my 95. I flush the system out with isopropyl alcohol. Let the alcohol work over night. Flush the alcohol out with fresh fluid. Have some one work the peddel while you work the bleeder screw so as not to let air back in the system. I would replace or repair the hydraulic system before replacing the clutch because you have a disengagment problem. A worn out clutch disc would cause an engagment or slipping problem.
