Thanks

It's a work in progress, I just started working on the exterior.

My order for building a car is:
1) Stop fast
2) Corner fast
3) Go fast
4) Exterior
5) Interior

Wow...really nice. Most of the older Civics I see are either pimped out, riced out, or are rust buckets with a 3 foot spoiler on the back. Good job.

Washed it off before the pics. But don't worry, it's already covered in dirt again!

Hey the car looks great!!!!!!!!!! where did u get that awesome hood from?

www.heeltoeauto.com, it's not listed on their website but if you email Marcus he'll take care of it for you.

You can also find more information at www.redpepperracing.com (search for CF hood).

But be prepared, the 1 piece CF ZC hood costs $500.

RPR is the best site for 1G CRX/3G Civic owers. Every bit of information you could ever want in regards to these cars can be found there.

The emissions are controlled by one solenoid, the purge solenoid. The ECU tells this solenoid to open periodically in order to let vapors collected in the charcoal canister flow into the intake system. I simply connected a hose from the fuel tank vapor line directly to the throttle body, and eliminated the solenoid and canister all together.

The other solenoids associated with the '88/'89 motor are the idle-up and resonator solenoids. The EACV serves the same purpouse as the idle-up solenoid so it really isn't needed. The resonator solenoid muffles the sound of the air as it flows through the intake (also not needed).

The ECU will not throw a code by removing these solenoids, and it cleans up alot of the excess wiring in the engine bay.

In the bottom of the '88/'89 Teg fuse box is the ELD (electronic load detector). I removed the ELD from the fuse box and wired it into the wiring harness on the interior side of the firewall. This way I could use the stock CRX fuse box (which I liked better). The only other thing in the fuse box that is needed is the timing jumper, to get around this I installed a switch in the plastic ECU cover and wired it directly to the ECU. Now when I set my timing I reach under the passenger seat and flip a switch instead of installing a jumper in the fuse box.

Hope this helps.

Yep, it's hidden on the firewall under the intake manifold. I made a bracket that attached to an existing bolt.

You are my inspiration to keep going on my 1g. With the pay in the Air Force, I'm sure that I'll be able to get that motor in no time. I can almost smell the b18 now...... *drools* I defenitely need to get one of those hoods. I'm pimping the 'no header-panel' look and it's getting old. Props.

Hmmm...

Maybe I shouldn't mention that I just picked up a B18. That should to keep me busy this winter, as soon as I decide wether to go all motor with ITB's, or turbo.

New wheels! Actually they're old wheels, but newly restored! You'll recognize them from one of my previous posts.

Nice finish and a labour of love.I did some ford RS wheels years ago and remember spending many hours with wet n dry paper.Like the ghetto lathe too!
Got a set of nice rims on my next years restore (1990 V Tec CRX)which i've been meaning to "borrow" for my black civic..
