ok as i'm sure you can tell... tonight did not go well.

after dropping off 3 friends and on my way to get gas i'm driving along a completely empty 4 to 6 lane road (Rte 1) in orange and i'm doin around 60 but not fast by any means in my book. i see an Orange cop on the other side of the road so i start to slow down. then like an ass he U turns and gets behind me. i put on my seat belt and slow way down to like 35 in a 40. of course he pulls me over about 100 ft from the gas station. i keep my hand on the steering wheel and one hand out the window so he doesnt get pissed off and scared like a bitch and i wait.

comes to my window and asks the age old unanswerable question. "do you know why i stopped you?" ... "no i don't" i say and then he explains i was going 56 in a 40. so i figure FUCK. then he started getting really annoying. "why are you out here?--how much have you had to drink tonight?" and then came the real pissoff as he walked to the front of my car. "turn these on. all your lights." so i go thru parking, low, high beams. he shakes his head. as most of you know i have angeleyes projectors, clear corners and hyper-white(blue tint) bulbs up front. so he breaks my balls and tells me how my headlights are illegal. i brought up the fact that bmw's have them. "oh but this is a honda" the cock said. i didn't bother to argue because the cuntrag was gonna get his way. he walked around back. "reverse lights, brake lights, parking lights, hazards please" so i run thru those. all are legal back there so he has to break my balls about my exhaust. at least its greddy. i have the carb plaque under my hood so i can prove its 50 state legal.

he went back to his car and wrote up an inspection ticket for the following:

defective parts:
TIRES (wtf? 40 series z rated DOT approved parada's ???)
EXHAUST SYSTEM (GReddy - 50 state legal right?)

inspection required for the following:
tinted glass (my fucking windows are clear)
headlights
signals
misc lights
exhaust
blah blah

now my problem is, i don't have ANY stock parts. so i can't put anything on for inspection. what do i do? i'm not buying OEM parts NO WAY.

anyway, he didnt give me the speeding ticket thank god i was gonna be pissed because just last week i got 46 in 35 and following too close in Roxbury by a state trooper. $183 and i pleaded not guilty since i'm jobless.

and just tonight on my way home from getting my inspection ticket a Derby cop almost pulled me over. you know how they u turn like assholes. well i turned and cut off my lights so i didnt have to kill a mother fucker.

but any help on my inspection problem would be appreciated. how do i pass w/o OEM parts?

For your signal lights, I'd just get some amber bulbs and slap in there. That should only be $2 and it might save you a violation depending on the person inspecting. As far as your headlights, if I'm not mistaken most all projectors say "off road use only" so unless it has a DOT number, your pretty much fucked on that. Maybe throw in a new set of cheapo clear headlights bulbs just for the inspection. But if you don't have the parts, I wouldn't worry about it too much until you get the inspection. It'll depend on how nice and dumb the person is. My dad had to have his turn signal fixed on his car a long time ago and he went in the office and they didn't even go out and check. They asked, he said yes and they said ok. If its illegal, I think they just tell you to fix it by a certain date and bring it back in. I don't know for sure on that, but I don't know why they'd try to take it to court.

I know how you feel right now. These stupid jackasses who pull people over simply for the fact they drive a nice Honda pisses me off. Theres A LOT of crimes being committed that are worse than what color your headlights are. How many people do you see everyday with P.O.S. cars that are unsafe to drive? They NEVER say anything to those people even if it was riding on 3 tires and missing the floorboard. But if they see a Honda with any modifications, they jump all over it. I say sue for racial profiling :finger:

All u have to do it take u're car to the Police Dept. and show them that u have some sort of receipt that u purchased those car asseories and that they are lLEGAL>"( show them the box that the lights came in, where is it say street legal on it. ) but i think u only have 48 hrs to do so.. then they should throw out the ticket.

I got the same ticket.. for my Galant.. I have a HID kit installed.. they look really hot.. jus like the BMW's. and the COP did give me a ticket.. so i brought my receipt into the station, with the box. and on the box, it says fully street legal visiblity improvement head light system. they had no choice but to throw out the ticket. As for u're other parts go and get u're car inspected and, bring in the inspection sticker to show u're car past inspection.. then they can't do shit!!!!:finger: :flipa:

Did you see that MTV show true life. The cops harassed the crap out of those guys when they caught them for petty s***. They put the intake as part of the ticket because it didnt have a "sticker". Plus they said your lights have to be 20 something inches above the ground. In the show the cops pull over an Integra that WASN'T racing and was just driving by the races. The woman said the headlights of the car had to be 24 inches up off the ground and his were only 18, so he got a ticket for that, then he got a ticket cause they asked him if he had a sticker for his intake and he said no so therefore that was illegal. It was all kinda stupid, but I've seen the exact same thing happen before.

Yeah man because im 16 i get followed all over the place. One time I did a completely legal U-turn around this divider and this Cop pulled me over. I gave him insurance and driver's license and all that crap and he went back into his car and started eating a sandwich!!! Like 10 minutes later he comes back and says what I did was illegal and I said sorry so he starts questioning me and saying things like I wasn't old enough to drive yet (I look like im 14). Then he doesn't give me a ticket, but I call up the Police office to file harassment stuff and I get him on the phone!! Cops honestly have nothing better to do than harass us and our imports. We've got the local *illegal* racing strip and then everybody who's in it to show off will park in the local burger place, which the owner actually approves of (cuz it gets him business) and the cops will swarm the place. They'll park next to, in front of, behind, IN... they'll park all around the joint just waiting for somebody to make one wrong move. and they look hard. if you pull out too fast, give it too much gas... anything. they'll get you. I got a ticket, yea an actual ticket for going 3 miles over the speed limit.

But what you can do to get a cop off your ass is make 2 left turns. Legally, if they follow you for 2 left turns its harassment and you can actually press charges. They know when you do it too. I have had over a dozen run-ins and been followed everywhere and that's all I ever have to do to get them to leave. The problem is driving absolutely perfect until you get to the turns.

3 miles over? I would contest that shit becuase radar guns have a margin of error. My dad got one sometime for 60 in a 55 and like 4 years later the insurance was like "you have this ticket, we are gonna have to raise your rates" and since he had been a loyal customer for like 20 years he was like "touch my rates and see what happens" and they didnt do anything to his rates which is pretty tight.

Also since the owner approves of your presence on his property, the cops cant do anything assuming he OWNS the place and the parking lot, it is then considered private property.

You are so right. I could have but I never thought about the margin of error thing. The only thing I was really worried about was my insurance going up while I was still an 18 year old male primary driver of a 2K Civic (already something like $450/6 months with good student discount and no wrecks)... over a $20 bullshit ticket. But the insurance still hasn't hounded me about it so I'm good for now.

Actually according to an australlian news agency, police radar has a error margin of up to 10 kilometers, which is far more than 1mph. Also you must compensate for car speedo's that are not spot on. Giving out tickets for 3 miles over the speed limit is assenine and most judges will dismiss things like that.

They can do that?!? I thought you had to be going 30 or 35 (I think it's 30) over the speed limit to have to go straight to court. I ALWAYS drive at least 20 over the limit. A friend of mine got pulled over driving 29 over and the cop said 1 more mile and he would have to go straight to court and we looked it up, it was 30.

I just got done with a running red light ticket. In the beginning it was $281, but then I went to court and got it reduced to $175, then had to pay some $24 bullshit traffic school fee, then $30 to actually take traffic school. Hopefully I dont get pulled for anything else in the next 18 months or the insurance will find out about it.

Since this is mainly a ticket bitiching thread, a friend of mine got another ticket yesterday for not coming to a complete stop at a stop sign, she had traffic school about a year ago for 65 in a 30 (yeah, shes hardcore) So I told her she should contest it and hope the cop doesent show because she isnt eligible for traffic school anyway.

Well, dumbass. They arent supposed to be blue, seeing as blue is reserved for cop cars / emergency vechicles only.

Yes they can be white, seeing as a lot of stock cars these days come with clear corners (toyota camry's for example)

The main reason I think they dont bother you for WHITE (not hiperwhite) is because on many older cars, the lens has faded, therefore not giving off yellow/amber light.

It all depends on where you live. Most cops around in MI dont care much unless they dont like either you or your car, then they go to town. I got pulled over for havin red and blue lights on my car..(sounds gay but it was at 2 diff times) same cop.....he didnt like me much. Anyways, he said the lights had to be amber or white.....I dont mind the laws, It just pisses me off when a cop sees your car and instantly profiles you for bein a streetracer.....

but the guns also have to be recalibrated every six months (which most PD's aren't too good about doing) and if they're not, you're off.

Also, you may request the officer's continuting education regarding the use of radar guns, lazer guns, etc. If he hasn't had any recent certification, you're also off. (trust me, it's gotten friends of mine off before)

I think it differs from state to state, but here in texas, it's your RIGHT to ask to see the radar gun and know your speed. If he didn't lock it in, you're off. If he fails to show it to you, you're off.

I personally have gotten out of a million speeding tickets because I know my rights, and am anal about enforcing them. Check your local laws, and make sure that you KNOW YOUR LOOPHOLES :)

Im majoring in police foundations, and if everything goes well, i should be a police officer in a year, and i know that i wouldn't take it easy on morons who are being idiots in traffic. I dont care if you kill yourself, at least have some consideration for others.

And the main objective of Bill 241 is to stop street racing. As for the Bill i certainly hope it doesn't pass, if it does it would mean modded cars wouldn't be able to cruise the streets (which is the best part of summer) and we would have to trailer our cars to the track. Ive posted the petition against this Bill on my car forums and a lot of people have signed it, but it still hasn't been quashed.

And the main objective of Bill 241 is to stop street racing. As for the Bill i certainly hope it doesn't pass, if it does it would mean modded cars wouldn't be able to cruise the streets (which is the best part of summer) and we would have to trailer our cars to the track. Ive posted the petition against this Bill on my car forums and a lot of people have signed it, but it still hasn't been quashed.

Still, there is no need to vent your anger or frustration towards him. I say again, modifying cars does not equate to street racing. There must be another agenda behind this bill that you are not aware of. I don't see this bill going into law unless no one votes against it. Good luck in this situation. Hopefully this nonsense bill will be defeated easily.

so basically, if this bill passes for you, raise shit about all the people who have different headunits or cd changers mounted in their cars, or the limos that have tinted windows. that bill will bring up too many problems to be monitored in any organized sort

I hate tickets, but most cops are reasonable if you are nice to them. I drive like Mario Andretti at least a hundred miles a day for work. I do not believe there is a day that goes by that I do not hit 150mph at least once. I pick these places very carefully to avoid killing anybody but myself. If I am coming home at 2:00am I take it easy and drive the speed limit, because a large majority of people out at 2:00am have been drinking or partying the cops are logically going to look for reasons to pull people over so that they can make sure they are not all messed up and cause accidents. Cops have families and lives just like us. Most deserve our respect(some do not) for risking their lives everyday to save ours. They are just doing their job.

John, wow. The subject of your threat caught my attention, with me being an aspiring police officer. Who ever said you lack the basic people skills was correct. Grow up and learn some respect for people who have positions of authority. You know why you keep getting pulled over? Because you make yourself a target. You've been pulled over so many times, that once a trooper or whomever (I'm in Canada and we don't have troopers here) sees you they know you're going to be driving like an ass (like you've proven to me time and again by posting your childish rants). So here's some advice, if you can't control your speed LOOK AT THE SPEDOMETER it's there for a reason, and GROW UP, stop bitching about the tickets you cause yourself to get.

I have a modded 01 Integra and I drive like a normal person, and guess what? NO TICKETS!!

Get a life and cry somewhere else....oh and yeah play F the police when they pull you over. You'll have yourself in a felony stop faster than you can turn that stereo off.

P.S. I know in Canada the radar guns HAVE to be tested after every useage, and this is coverred in the highway traffic act. Laser guns have no margin of error.
