I noticed the engine overheating then cooling, then overheating. T the temperature gage seemed to be confused for a while (about 5 miles), then needle got into the red and stayed there. I tried to drive it home that might, but the needle got in the red after two miles and then I noticed that the engine was steaming. I stopped and had it toed home.

What should I look at first?

Any help would be appreciated.
