AMG Mercedes 600SEL600sel 02-23-2006, 03:46 AM From Tamiya. Building one right now. The pix are taken with a mobile phone. Rims: Aoshima 19inch Racing Hart Type CR. I'll paint them antracite or black. Maybe burned iron. The paint needs to polish. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/AMG600sel_6.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/AMG600sel_4.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/AMG600sel_1.jpg Wheelin75r 02-23-2006, 03:50 AM What brand is the kit from? (maybe some bling-bling wheels?) 600sel 02-23-2006, 03:58 AM Tamiya. tonioseven 02-23-2006, 07:46 AM That is the one kit I can never find! I have the regular sedan but not the AMG:( x1000 Great job so far on yours!!:sunglasse NissanSkylineGTR98 02-23-2006, 07:55 AM Nice work! Those wheels suit the car nicely :) eph2 02-23-2006, 11:01 AM Nice Start. this car is gonna be cool!!! 600sel 02-23-2006, 02:03 PM Thanks for the comments guys. I'm a real Mercedes freak. Especially the big S-class like the kit. Because they are BIG! The new S-classes are not that great. As for the kit Tonioseven, I bought some of them more then 8-10 years ago but never had the chance to start. Some of them I ordered from Turkey (http://www.hobbytime.com.tr/urunlistesi.asp?tip=SOX), also many years ago. They're all sold out now. Payed around 40us dollars each then. These are waiting to be build: http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01032.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01031.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01035.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01036.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01037.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01038.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01039.jpg D[X]P 02-23-2006, 07:57 PM whoa nice model kits k20_chris 02-23-2006, 08:14 PM the rims are raceing harts right... 600sel 02-23-2006, 11:16 PM Yes Racing Hart from Hobbylink: http://www.hlj.com/product/AOS03298 ddtham 02-24-2006, 03:10 AM Nice collection!! I'm an avid Mercedes enthusiast as well, I will post my builds when I have the time. BTW, for the rims, don't you think VIP rims would look better than those racing harts? thaidiecast 02-24-2006, 12:19 PM You're Mercedes-Benz Freak like me! But in fact I have only Tamiya 500 SEC because I can't find any Tamiya Benz models in Thailand. You have all Tamiya Benz Models.(Except 500 SEC W126) You're lucky man! Good work! I wait to see your W140 S-Class when it finished. Ferrari TR 02-24-2006, 12:42 PM You've given me a bad case of Benz envy! It really seems that Tamiya could take care of the car guys by re-issuing some of their back catalog. Samurai75007 02-24-2006, 01:10 PM Wow nice start, I love the boxy body of the SL600 myself... (working on getting one at the moment.) Purpura Delujo 02-24-2006, 07:01 PM Nice to see another 600SEL being built, I'll probably start on mine tonight but I'm having trouble finding some good diameter wheels. As you probably noticed with your kit the box wheels look too small and crap. I have the 600SEC and 600SEL, I would like a AMG 500SL kit. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/PurpuraDelujo/600sel.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/PurpuraDelujo/600sel2.jpg tpliquid 02-24-2006, 07:15 PM damn nice to see another AMG on here. i found one couple years abck in taiwan, i was lucky. what abuot some carlsson 1/6 styles? not gonna hijack this thread so i will post link to the wheels instead of pics http://www.viptrim.com/misc/DSC03992.JPG SkylineMan32 02-24-2006, 09:09 PM I have the older 1980's 500SEC AMG Lorinser, I messed up on the paint work, and need to redo the intake, but I will post pics eventually. Purpura Delujo 02-24-2006, 10:11 PM For anyone looking for Mercedes reference material goto www.benzworld.org/gallery/ and choose the model you're after. MidMazar 02-25-2006, 01:26 AM awesome collection of some respectable cars, and nice wheel choice also. ddtham 02-25-2006, 02:23 AM damn nice to see another AMG on here. i found one couple years abck in taiwan, i was lucky. what abuot some carlsson 1/6 styles? not gonna hijack this thread so i will post link to the wheels instead of pics http://www.viptrim.com/misc/DSC03992.JPG Not trying to hijack, but tpliquid, are you in mbworld.org? 600sel 02-26-2006, 01:18 PM Ddtham, I've some VIP wheels but thought these are good looking too. Purpura Delujo, you've got a nice benz there. What colour did you spray it? As for the wheels came with the kit: I think they are way too small for a AMG kit, like the 18" Fujimi AMG wheels. tpliquid, what do you mean with Carlsson 1/6 style? Sprayed the parts with Tamiya Surface Primer (light gray). When the weather gets better I'll airbrush some parts. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01043.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01045.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/rims.jpg http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c194/mandrake2005/DSC01054.jpg redstang423 02-26-2006, 01:38 PM Looking good so far, I'll be interested to see the final product. I really can't wait to see you build the 500SL. That and the 600SL are awesome looking cars. Heck I even love the modern iterations of the SL500 and 600. By the way, you could have the best camera phone I have ever seen. 600sel 02-26-2006, 03:28 PM ...... By the way, you could have the best camera phone I have ever seen. It's a Sony Ericsson k750i (2 Megapixels). KTem 02-27-2006, 03:31 AM I like it so far, those big Mercedesses are cool :smokin: . Looking at your stash of wheels, why not put those Koenig rims on? http://www.koenig-specials.com/bilder/bilder600px/600px/32-sklasseseiteschraeg.jpg :naughty: auw12 02-27-2006, 04:06 AM very rare and nice kit! tpliquid 02-27-2006, 06:22 PM ddtham, yea im on mbworld.. mostly 202 and 211 forums.
