Rims: Aoshima 19inch Racing Hart Type CR. I'll paint them antracite or black. Maybe burned iron.
The paint needs to polish.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm a real Mercedes freak. Especially the big S-class like the kit. Because they are BIG! The new S-classes are not that great. As for the kit Tonioseven, I bought some of them more then 8-10 years ago but never had the chance to start. Some of them I ordered from Turkey (http://www.hobbytime.com.tr/urunlistesi.asp?tip=SOX), also many years ago. They're all sold out now. Payed around 40us dollars each then. Wow nice start, I love the boxy body of the SL600 myself... (working on getting one at the moment.)

Nice to see another 600SEL being built, I'll probably start on mine tonight but I'm having trouble finding some good diameter wheels. As you probably noticed with your kit the box wheels look too small and crap. I have the 600SEC and 600SEL, I would like a AMG 500SL kit.

I have the older 1980's 500SEC AMG Lorinser, I messed up on the paint work, and need to redo the intake, but I will post pics eventually.

Ddtham, I've some VIP wheels but thought these are good looking too.
Purpura Delujo, you've got a nice benz there. What colour did you spray it? As for the wheels came with the kit: I think they are way too small for a AMG kit, like the 18" Fujimi AMG wheels.

Sprayed the parts with Tamiya Surface Primer (light gray). When the weather gets better I'll airbrush some parts.

Looking good so far, I'll be interested to see the final product. I really can't wait to see you build the 500SL. That and the 600SL are awesome looking cars. Heck I even love the modern iterations of the SL500 and 600.
