Honda is giving free service for the vehicles listed below. Give your dealer or the # on the letter a call with your VIN number to see if it is qualified. Thanks LordRamZ.

1995 models: Honda Accord V6, Acura NSX, Acura 2.5TL
1996 models: All models
1997 models: All models (except for the Honda Passport, Acura Integra Type-R, Acura SLX)
You receive:

At 50k-75k miles, you get a free emissions inspection and any repairs or replacements.

At 75k - 150k miles you get another free emissions inspection and you also get new spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor and oil change for free.

Emissions warranty has been extended to 14 years

You can get reimbursed if you paid for any of the above emmissions parts or repairs.

Why does this look like a scam to me? Probably something to do with the "slickdeals" web site name!

Its actually an Emissions Extension. basically Honda got sued by the federal gov for something that they screwed up with so they offered an extension to anyone who owns a 95- 97 accord and 96-97 all other models. It basically will cover you if the check engine lite comes on. If the light is triggered than its emissions related and the part and the diag is covered for a period of 14 years or 150k miles whichever comes first.

After you reach 75k your entitled to the replacemnet of the oil and filter, plugs, wires, cap and rotor. thats a one time deal but the CEL is as many times as it happens withing that range.

It's the real deal I got the letter from Honda and asked the dealer. I will be making my appointment when my next oil change is due.

if you think that it is a scam then don't bother. because i own a 1998 honda accord and i posted that up to help other fellow accord owners that fall in that area. also it doesn't hurt to print out that piece of paper drive down to a honda dealer and ask if it is true or not. if not go to honda.com and look for a number and call them to ask if you don't want to waste paper, ink or gas.
