i have 95 grand cherokee laredo and im having some trouble with my front passenger window. every so often when i go to use the button on my drivers door to put the front passenger window up it wont work..but if i reach across and hit the button for split second on the passenger door then go back to the other button it will work....any idea why?? also this window seems to go up and down slower than all the other windows

The switch thing just sounds like a bad wire or contact.

As for the sluggish window - try using silicone spray lube and spray the side channels and weather stripping that faces the glass while moving the glass up and down until it starts moving faster - dried out weather stripping causes a lot of drag.
I had an '89 Cherokee with a drivers side window that wouldn't close unless I pulled it up by hand and pushed the close button at the same time.
I sprayed the heck out of side channels and weather stripping and worked the window, after awhile it was moving up and down faster than the others.

I have this same problem with the right rear passenger window. If one of my boys plays with the window and I go to use the switch on the driversdoor to put it up it won't do anything, I have to reach back and hit the button. I figured the contacts inside the switch were prolly sticking and never got around to tearing it apart.
