sunroof leak

I have a '97 SE with a leaky sunroof. I have read that a common reason for sunroof leaks is an obstruction in the trough and drain tubes that are installed in most factory sunroofs (in general). I was wondering if the '97 factory sunroofs have this type of draining system and if so where the drain tubes were located. Any other ideas, opinions and experiences are welcome as well....I hope this is as simple as blowing compressed air through drain tubes to clean out a blockage. Thanks!!

you might need to replace the rubber that the glass seats on. they tend to go bad more often then not

that will be what I have to do if the Pathfinder doesn't have a drain system...but if it does, and it is clogged I certainly want to try blowing it out with compressed air before I start buying and replacing parts. Do you have any idea if it has a drainage system and where the tubes may be located? thanks for the imput:)

well, I found out some info. There is a trough that runs around the sunroof with drains in the front with tubes that run down the front pilars. My tubes seem to be free from obstruction so there must be a lot of water getting through the weather stripping. Another piece of info I found out is that Nissan doesn't sell the weather stripping...of course it's all part of the glass so in effect, a $2.00 piece of rubber that wears out warrants a coplete replacement with a $500 piece of glass and goodness knows how much $$ in labor. Why am I not surprised. Looks like I'm going to get creative here before I shell out hundreds of dollars...any ideas or suggestions?
