In progress Chrysler 300CAndy Jones 02-22-2006, 02:49 PM I know I shouldn't be starting anything else at the moment but this arrived on Monday and after staring at it for awhile I began wondering what would happen if one was imported into Japan and got the VIP treatment. I'd got an Aoshima DAD Aristo kit lying around so I stole the bodykit parts and with a bit of kitbashing here's the result. I need to extend the side skirt slightly at the front and also deepen the sideskirt to match the depth of the front & rear bumpers. There's some filling & tidying up required but I'll post more progress as I make it. Undecided on wheels at the moment. http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c.jpg http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c2.jpg http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c1.jpg Thanks for looking Andy PS/ Sorry for the pic quality eph2 02-22-2006, 02:55 PM Nice Start!! Alfa 147 02-22-2006, 04:38 PM Nice start, i'll be following this one gasman03 02-22-2006, 05:08 PM looks great so far. the VIP look in't so far fetched, becouse the 300C IS available in Japan. so i'm sure there are some 300C's that have a VIP look already. I have a feeling that where going to see the 300C in an Aoshima box soon. http://www.chrysler-japan.com/lineup/300c/images/exterior/img00.jpg I kinda like it, it has Magnum wheels. which give it a more aggressive look. minidreams_n_scale 02-22-2006, 05:28 PM :iceslolan andy you get everything ready to build and send me the body i can repop in resin ?:grinno: :grinyes: :iceslolan :grinyes: ! i know i cant wait to get 1 or the new impala ! keeps us posted Later David@Minidreams calvin3 02-22-2006, 11:21 PM :iceslolan andy you get everything ready to build and send me the body i can repop in resin ?:grinno: :grinyes: :iceslolan :grinyes: ! i know i cant wait to get 1 or the new impala ! keeps us posted Later David@Minidreams I'll send ya my stock body.....for a few bodies. No building options in the kit I'm afraid Cheers Andy Mean_B16 02-25-2006, 02:35 AM I know I shouldn't be starting anything else at the moment but this arrived on Monday and after staring at it for awhile I began wondering what would happen if one was imported into Japan and got the VIP treatment. Ha, sounds like me. I just can't help myself when I buy a new kit, I just have to start messing with it. That's why I had to stop buying so many, I now have like 20 models that I tinkered with but never finished:grinno: damn my lack of self control, lol. I know this will look good no matter which way you go with it. I will stay posted. Andy Jones 03-03-2006, 02:06 PM Wasn't very keen on the sideskirts from the Aristo kit so decided made some simple ones up from plastic sheet. Still undecided on the rims but here's another option. http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c3.jpg Thanks for looking Andy minidreams_n_scale 03-03-2006, 04:30 PM sid ekit look good from piont here in the US Andy and i like these wheels over the frist set ! Nice work! toyota00 03-03-2006, 07:14 PM Ya, those are very nice looking side skirts. I also like the first set of rims better. Go with the first pair.... Goodluck Dude, and keep us updated. Andy Jones 03-05-2006, 10:02 AM Managed to get a coat of primer on it between the snow showers here !. Still some filling to be done especially on the rear bumper where I need to make the top edge of the bodykit match the stock line above the license plate but at least it gives some idea how the bodykit will look. http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c4.jpg http://members.aol.com/jonesandy898/300c5.jpg Thanks for looking Andy tonioseven 03-05-2006, 11:13 AM Coming along well!:) blubaja 03-06-2006, 10:26 PM I LOVE those A8 looking wheels!!! Kit looks great and can't wait to see this finished! Curious, how is the fitment and look if everything was kept stock? A friend of mine's uncle has one and thought I might make one for him as an excuse to build a kit.
