I will build this kit with removed cowl, so i start with my microsaw to cut the parts:

The next step is:
scratch build a fuel tank with plasticard:

http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b009.jpg

Check the new fuel tank in the car:

I mounted the wheels for fit test on the car:
http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b021.jpg
http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b023.jpg

on check with reference pics, i realise that revell makes an mistake:
the wheels are 4-5mm to wide from the brake!

http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b029.jpg

I take my microsaw to make a solution:

I start with painting. I use the new Revell-Aqua-Color. The Red is mixed with white and thined with water. The color is easy to use with the airbrush.
The black areas painted with Revell-Aqua Flat Black, for appling the carbon decals.
Engine and wheels painted with Revell-Aqua Silver Color.

The next steps are: scratch building the water cooler and electronic boxes.
appling decals, some "wirering".

Impressive! The amount of scratchbuilding needed in that engine bay should keep you busy for a while. )

After long long time...
i bought the Studio 27 Set for the F2005
http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b054.jpg
and modified the Radiators:
http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b056.jpg
http://www.scaleautofactory.com/f2005/f2005-b057.jpg

I'm not satisfied with the result and decided after my successful 3D-Design-Work with the Alien APC -> LINK (http://www.scaleautofactory.com/build.php?file=alien_apc/build.xml) <- to build the radiators on the PC with sketchup and 3d-print them at shapeways:
