There are a couple different "chips" that you could get for your car. Some of the ecu's are pre-programmed to do a specific thing and this will raise your hp but you won't have control over anything else the ecu does. Something like the JWT ecu or one of those JET ecu's are one that are like that where you don't really have much control over what they do. If you had the cash then you could go for a full engine management system. These stand alone systems can get very pricey though so be looking to spend probably at least 1,500 for a good one. APEXI has one called the Power FC but I'm not sure if they make one for the KA24DE. I know that they make one for the SR but I'm not sure about the KA.
I haven't really read much about them but the reviews I have read about them on websites make the Haltech ecu sound pretty good. you can look at the different ones they offer at their site http://www.haltech.com
