Where are some good hobby shops in New York located at? I'm going there this Sunday and want to stock up. :D My friend bought some Tamiya spray paint from a shop in Chinatown for only $3. Anybody know where he went, or any other good shops? I think I'll only be in the Chinatown area, not too sure where else. Thanks!

I'm asking a friend on icq for you. Hope she knows what I'm talking about.

When you go pay at that model shop in Chinatown, say, "Pen D duck Ng duck". It means, cheaper please:D

OK, my friend said that its not model shop, but there's a shop that has model, and not alot. Try looking in hobby shops in chinatown. Hum, maybe even try a supermarket........ok....scratch that, nevermind, try a gift shop.:)

Thanks for the help guys. I just hope I don't get mugged. :) turbos86, I don't think I speak quite the same dialect as you, lol, I'd probably mispronounce everything and end up insulting the dude's mother.. ;)

MX100 - lol, living in Philadelphia you can imagine the number of "bak chi banana boys" i see around here.. :D

on a serious note, you might wanna check out the exoticar outlet in New York if you're looking for diecast models. They've got just about everything, ranging from your typical Bburago to those $5000 hand-built ones....

I've been to Image Anime, you'll find better prices on their website. Also most of their kits don't have the wrappers on them, so I don't feel safe buying from them!!

We went today instead of yesterday and I went to a place called Wah Kau Company, located on 58 Mott Street between Canal and Bayard streets. Their selection was kinda small but they had cheap paint prices, it must have been the place my friend went to. Picked up three cans of Tamiya TS for $4 apiece, they also had Tamiya mini 10 mL for $1.85. I'd definitely go back next time as their paint prices are at least a fifty cents to a dollar cheaper than most other places. I didn't have a chance to check out the other stores as they were too far away from the place we were shopping at, sorry.
