Checking Codes 1995 SuburbanScaramanga 02-21-2006, 10:46 AM Is there an easy way to check codes? It seems to have an ODB I like my Lumina, and I can check the Lumina's codes with a paperclip. Can this be done the same with the Surburban? The connector looks the same, but has about 3 holes that have metal in them, where my Lumina doesn't. Anyone know? Thanks! maxwedge 02-21-2006, 11:25 AM Must be transitional obd11, if so you will need a real scanner to do this. 2000CAYukon 02-21-2006, 01:45 PM http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/ If this does not work, then you will need a OBDII code reader (like maxwedge said). I have read that some of the late 95 models were actually OBDII but had OBDI connectors. //2000CAYukon Scaramanga 02-21-2006, 08:20 PM Thanks for the link! Just wondering if jumpering the A&B terminals could damage anything if it does not work.. I just don't want to fry the computer or something else. Scaramanga 02-27-2006, 02:26 AM Anyone know? 2000CAYukon 02-27-2006, 02:18 PM Anyone know? A is ground and B is the test terminal. This fill not fry your computer. If you have ever had your Suburban Smog'd, when they hook up the scanner, A is connected to B. //2000CAYukon vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
