Hi AF people,

been very long since I posted anything here due to studies and other stuff.
I´m since there seems to be a bit of Lambo-craze here I thought I´d share my Lambo project (started three weeks ago before I checked AF, was chocked to see som many Lambos:P).
Though my Lambo won´t make it to the finish, a 10kg desklamp put an end to that...goosfraaaba, goosfraaba NOT HELPING!!!! GAAAHHH!!!
So with a bleeding right fist wrapped in ice I start collecting parts from all over the room.

This was originally a restoration of a buddys old revell snapkit, it was painted 143243 times with crappy paint and it took me forever to get rid of it all:

Started building a front lip, side skirts and the Lambo gt-wing:

Removed the ugly ribs in the side intakes:

Did´nt care much for the rear bumper so I tried to replicate the parts that are on the GT-version (check out Limited24´s build):

Started the paintjob;
Day 1
1. Tamiya primer
2. Tamya semi gloss black
Day 2
3. Createx clear with some blue pearl pigments thrown in
4. Createx white
5. Createx transparent blue
6. Createx white (again) this time using stencils
7. Createx transparent blue, shading the previous color
Day 3
8. Rattle can clear
9. Wetsanding and polishing 1-2 days later (and yes the paint was still kinda soft but it worked out ok).

Black:

Started the true-fire session:

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/8210/dsc088468tl.jpg

http://img151.imageshack.us/img151/88/dsc088499xd.jpg

Got a pretty nice shine:

And a few hours later after the chop...

... ... ..:(

Thanks for looking!

Damn, that sucks! That would have been such a cool model! But good practice for making those flame effects I guess, and hey, you have some spare parts added to your parts box.

I like the paint work. It reminds me of a custom paint job Trek offers on their racing bikes called "Andromeda". Whatever lesson was learned from your incident with the roof, carry it over to the next project and try that paint again.

Awwww man. . . That blows. . .:frown:

Paint was coming along so nice!!! Suited the Diablo quite well too. . .

Recently had a similar accident with a lamp while taking pics. Luckily nowhere near the damage here. . .

A+++ for your valiant effort and a bunny with a pancake on top of his head in recognition of that effort. . .:)

Thanks for the kind replies.
Hehe, drop top, good one!

This little unfortunate accident won´t stop me, and I will take greater care next time I intend to move my desklamp..:P

See ya´ll `round!
