Well the E90/E92 M3 is supposed to have a 400-425hp V8 w/ a 7sp SMG transmission. So right out of the box the M3 and the 335i (probably what the biturbo is going into) will be pretty different in power. Undoubtedly someone will come along and start reprogramming this new engine to run more boost. We'll see what happens then. I think the main point of this engine is to give the 3-series a shot at competing power-wise with the IS350, even though it will be a bit more expensive. Im guessing a 335i will start around $40,000.

Probably right. In which case you're very lucky. It won't start for less than £30k ($50k) over here.
