I have a 1987 Laredo with a tilt steering wheel. I replaced the ignition key switch because the old one would only go into the lock position once in a while. The new one does the same thing. While I had it apart, I removed the top part of the steering wheel column cover and a small piece of plastic fell out, about 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches with a slot in it and a bump on one side. Not sure if it is broken or not, I have no idea where it goes. I put the steering column back together without it and everything works except for the headlight high beam switch which worked before I took it apart.
Any help with either or both problems would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Zack
