On Saturday, I get in and start up the Jeep and after about five minutes down the road the temperature guage goes to the red and even past it. When I park I can hear the coolant under pressure coming out a little.

Any advice?

Just the a day or so before I added some coolant. There also use to be a loud screeching noise while driving. Then, after a few minutes of acceleration it would stop. Water pump, maybe?

My water pump went out recently. It made a screeching noise which got worse as time went on. It never did start to leak, but when I grabbed the pulley and tried to shake it, it would move back and forth a little. I took off the belt and I could wiggle the pulley and the water pump shaft a lot. Replaced the pump. Noise gone.
