what obd is my 95/96 passat estate

Hi..

can any one help..

mywife's vw passate 2.0 litre 8 v estate car has stopped working.

it cranks round, there is spark, but does not start up..

its got a 16 pin obd connector next to vdo, only 3 pins populated with wire connection.

what obd is it, its a UK 96, but 95 model..

has any one esle had this sort of problem.

does the factory alarm, cut fuel injection, i can hear the fuel pump spin up for a second.

The fuel pump is firing up... either get a fuel pressure gauge and attach it to the fuel rail and get a pressure reading if you fail to get pressure or get low pressure replace fuel filter... relatively cheap at autozone..if you dont have afuel pressure gauge just pull the top fuel line off the rail have someone turn the key on and see if fuel starts spewing up if it doesnt you have a block in the line somewhere.
