Tire size limit on a MKIII

Hey everyone. Quick question, what would be the tire size limit on a MKIII supra beofore rubbing starts? My buddy need to get some new tread, and was hoping to get some 245/50/16 tire for his car. Just wanted to know if these would fit with no problems at all. Thanks in advance.

On 7" sawblades? Stick with the stock tire size (225/50/16) or else it will look like a balloon as well as have some weird effects on handling. A 10" aftermarket rim and tire will fit with no problems, it's all in the offset and size you choose.
