Nice Race Story.Polygon 06-26-2002, 06:17 PM I was looking on the web for information on cheap quick mods for my car and I found this. I was shopping for a car and I really wanted a T2. I never thought I would wind up with a T4 but that's what happened. Not really knowing anything about a VNT other than the fact I knew they existed, I bought the car. The car looked sharp sitting on the used car lot and I figured it was time to retire my 87 Lancer ES after 270,000 miles. Since the Lancer had EVERYTHING on it including the talking man I was spoiled so I needed a comparable luxo boat. I borrowed the car for a day and drove it everywhere. I couldn't get over how it would burn the tires in 1st gear for such a heavy car. Before long I experimented with bleeds but the damn computer kept figuring them out and I wound up with 4 bleeds before I could keep the boost at 13, 10.8 was stock. This is the only time I really hated the car because the same bleed I had on my Lancer for 8 years wouldn't work on this car. I went searching the web and I found ND Performance. Gave Neil a call and spent about 3 hours on the phone. I did the usual mods: exhaust, 804's, and K&N. When I got the SBEC from Neil on a Friday I put it in the car and went for a ride. I was expecting an increase from the chip but what I wasn't expecting was this torque monster. With a big shit eating grin I went looking for my friends. I wanted to know how I fared again a GLHS, GN, and a Spirit R/T. To my surprise was the Buick and the Shelby. 1 - 2 car lengths. They were absolutely shocked and so was I. As for the R/T, man are them fog lights bright!!! Just for the record the Buick has run a 13.3 @ 100 and the GLHS a 13.3 @ 103. Everytime I look at the car I remember some situation that left the opponent shocked. I wonder what it would feel like to get beet by a Lebaron when you drive a Mustang????? The stories go on and on but one things for sure, it makes me smile every time I look at!! Jason Flood 1990 Lebaron GTC VNT ND Performance SBEC I find it amazing that with so few mods he is beating cars that run 13s in the 1/4. Can't wait to get done with mine. TerminalVelocity 06-26-2002, 08:44 PM thats a trip, well hey, its always great to be the unexpected winner :bandit: fatninja19 06-27-2002, 12:19 PM wow.. i want one too! how much does a clean one run for ? Polygon 06-27-2002, 02:09 PM At the most you will only pay about $4,000-$5,000 for a MINT 89 or 90 Lebaron GTC. Good luck finding one though. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
