New hotness for 06 will be URAS sides and rear and stock rear bumper. Ugh, my happiness for these wheels has already put them on a one way track to being the next FN01RC. I'm gonna hang myself when Automotive forums starts buying these in 8.5 and 9.5 and wack shit like that. 1800$? I wish they were that cheap =/ sidewayzS13 02-21-2006, 10:03 PM how much and what sizes r u getting? Hit_N_Run-player 02-22-2006, 07:13 PM Indeed. AWDSR20 02-23-2006, 12:07 AM how much are they? sidewayzS13 02-23-2006, 11:11 AM hes not telling ted_ex 02-23-2006, 06:23 PM http://store.finalstageauto.net/workemotionxd9.html $400 per for cast wheels that weigh 20+ lbs? R.W.240 02-23-2006, 08:37 PM http://store.finalstageauto.net/workemotionxd9.html $400 per for cast wheels that weigh 20+ lbs? Ahh... heres what I was looking for. Someone to hate on them. A) 400$ a wheel without shipping? UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Maybe if I had had them air freighted from Japan. B) Cast? whoa nelly, you got me there. Wait... that means... they won't bend when I drive on them. C) 20+ Lbs? whoa, seeing as how Work hasen't released a weight yet you must have pulled that right out of your ass... then you realize that any wheel that isnt gonna Taco the first time you drive on it is gonna weigh that much... or cost 550$+ per (Besides maybe Weds TC005s) Who knows, these things look like they'll be on the lighter side, Mulitspoke is naturally strong and they dont have any spoke angle. If you don't like the design then ok, party on, half my friends hate them too. I love them and thats all that matters. But when you read a new super street and parrot off a bunch of the fringe topics of sprung mass and grain direction it means you need to go back to the stone age to bang rocks together trying to make offset. Hit_N_Run-player 02-23-2006, 08:56 PM ted_ex 02-24-2006, 12:11 AM Cunning reply. I replied with one sentence and you gleaned that much information from it. Brilliant. Lets see ; A. 400 per is shipped. You said you're paying more then $1800 for a set. Lets see 4x400=1600, how is this more then 1800? B. Cast is more prone to bending then forged. Look it up. C. http://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=125612 I didn't actually fact check this I just took the vendors word for it. And "Taco" isn't capitalized. As for your super street/banging rocks rant, nice. Try spending more time learning and less time thinking up poorly worded insults. R.W.240 02-24-2006, 02:32 AM Cunning reply. Perhaps you would like to tell me how much I paid for those wheels agian? Seeing as how your looking at the invoice. Only wheel I'd pay around $1800 for is Weds TC005, which is completely irrelevent. Maybe you could ponder the definition of sarcasm. because thats what my comment about paying 1800$ for cast wheels was. B) Cast wheels are also stiffer than forged, meaning they deform less. Hence why Enkei and Work tend stay away from them. C)"They weight about 19 lbs to 22 lbs (17" ~ 18")." wow, thats not vague at all and not flag raising that 17x7.5 and 18x10 only varys by 3lbs. What trust worthy information. D) Thank you for correcting my capitilization. Might I trouble you to correct my punctuation too? Perhaps you should spend less time parroting Tirerack.com's selling points and more time correcting someones grammer over the net. orestes 02-24-2006, 03:21 AM wait, forged is stronger AND lighter, right?? R.W.240 02-24-2006, 03:40 AM wait, forged is stronger AND lighter, right?? They're obviously lighter, and they're stronger in a different way. Heavier cars use Cast wheels since they'll deform less is what I've been hearing. AWDSR20 02-24-2006, 03:49 AM me like me FN01R-C yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay sidewayzS13 02-24-2006, 11:51 AM me like me FN01R-C yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay over works? What is it you run for rims/tires? and im not scarred to say, thats right, i run rusted steelies. And i didnt pay anything for em...BAM! orestes 02-24-2006, 09:16 PM ok so forged would be stronger if you bap into a curb? and cast is stronger against flexing? AWDSR20 02-24-2006, 11:02 PM forged is stronger then cast PERIOD! in cast the molecules are a bit further away fom each other then in forged, hence, forged is DENSER and stronger... ted_ex 02-25-2006, 12:28 AM you make it sound like these rims are POS rims. What is it you run for rims/tires? and im not scarred to say, thats right, i run rusted steelies. And i didnt pay anything for em...BAM! No, I don't think they are POS rims at all. I'm making the point that 1800 would be a lot for cast wheels. I'm not going to debate the merits of cast vs. forged or the fact that you can't express sarcasm on a computer. If you really want to know PM me and I can bore you with facts about manufacturing processes. As for my rims I run Volk...oh wait no, they're steelies with 3 of the 4 hubcaps. My money goes into finishing school not rims. I gotta go read super street and find some more bits of information on Tirerack to try and impress people on a forum that i don't even know. Hit_N_Run-player 02-25-2006, 02:33 AM No, I don't think they are POS rims at all. RUSTED/BEATUP STEELIES FOR LIFE!. And no, im not kidding, i cant justify spending that much on rims when the rims/tires would end up costing more than my car lol But, others here such as RW have kickass setups and jobs id guess so they are able to run baller rim setups, maybe someday ill pickup some FN's for cheap or somethign. R.W.240 02-25-2006, 03:08 AM forged is stronger then cast PERIOD! in cast the molecules are a bit further away fom each other then in forged, hence, forged is DENSER and stronger... Meh, thats not what I've been hearing. Forging wheels forces the metal grain to align (imagine a pile of bricks -Cast vs a built wall - forged). Take enkei for example, they use a "forged" lip so its stonger and cast spokes for more rigity. No school FTW. I took the semester off so I could work full time to get my car not ghetto. I went to community college in the fall... which was a joke... and didn't have enough time to register for a semi legit university (party school) so I just said fuck it. Idealy I want to transfer in to Virginia Tech. But thats unlikely seeing as how UT and A&M have awesome engineering schools and aren't in BFE. orestes 02-25-2006, 12:31 PM ya i thought forged was just flat out stronger in every category but i really dont know. that was just the general opinion that seemed to float around, but thats not really saying much because people are dumb. and im probably not going to end up with anything forged anyways so oh well. It was like highschool with less rules lololololol. I quit that shit too. So f'ing stupid. I then got full time job and am un-ghettoing my ride too. I plan on doing something next year though. THis year is all for car. I figure do it up now while you have the chance and dont have a house payment and have to buy every little thing (appliances, dishes, food,) That shit robs you fast...... so might as well do it now and have it 75-80% done up for when you do move out. I figure buy the more expensive stuff you plan on doing now, then save the littler less expensive shit for when you move out and dont have to save up as much for big items........ any major U is a party school. College + girls = bunch of loose ho's. Iv said it once and ill say it again......college will corrupt a girl. Iv seen the most uptite prude girls in highschool turn into.......hozilla over night. Im like wtf. It must be something to do with the moved out from the home part and live with other girls now. You know there's some girl on girl action like mad...... sidewayzS13 02-26-2006, 06:46 PM college corupts for a few reasons. one is they are away from home for the first time. but i think the main reason is that is high school drama and rumors pick up fast and thats a lot of hassle. but in college no one cares so these girls realize that they will not be judged for being a slut now so they do it. Skylindrftr 02-26-2006, 09:39 PM lol all fucking true man...i hates t3h highschool sometimes although highschool drama is some of the funniest shit ever if you arent involved...
