Hot air

I have a 00' GC. With heat on, only cold air comes out of passenger side vents. I have read about the possible bad blend door and blend actuator. It says to change heat and watch for actuator movement. How? Where do I do that.

Yes that happend on my '96, on mine it is under the dash and kind of back in the corner. It looks kinda like a box, but shaped different. Once you take it off, if you dont get a new one right away, you can turn the knob that is sticking out, and it will open the blend door to hot air. Should not be hard to find only a few inches long x wide.

Hey BenBB,
My sis has a '96 and no heat. I have ruled out the obvious - coolant level, and coolant flow through the heater core. Can you give me some more info on the actuator - location, where one can be bought, and how to tell if it is the blend air door assembly?
Thanks

Did you get it fugured out? Do you have climate control?

Negative. I want to rule out the actuator, or replace it if its the problem, before I tear apart the dash and replace the blend air assembly. Can you help in locating the actuator and in finding a replacement part for it?
Thanks

I don't have any real suggestions. I know they had to tear out my whole dash to fix the air blend on my dual climate control. Luckily at that time it was under warranty because they said it's not a cheap fix
