Citroën 2CVdenman2 02-19-2006, 08:16 AM Hello. While my supra is waiting for some wild idees, i've started a new kit. This whil be build mostly straight from box. Its a Citroën 2CV ( in the netherlands called: eend ( duck)) http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/box.JPG I've painted the wheels and the chassis. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/wielen%201.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/wielen%203.JPG The wheels http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/chassis%201%7E0.JPG Chassis I also started the engine. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/motor%202.JPG I will keep the bodywork for last :grinno: Denman blubaja 02-19-2006, 11:26 AM Awsome details so far! G-man422 02-19-2006, 11:50 AM Those rims look amzingly real! nice job. SteveK2003 02-19-2006, 11:55 AM From the looks of those wheels, somebody parks using the 'Braile Method' :icon16: Nice progress so far, I look forward to seeing it completed. LA-CUSTOMS 02-19-2006, 12:13 PM yeah thats not lookin too bad where is a pic of the shell ? :) 0tobe60in10minutes 02-19-2006, 01:41 PM nice wheels. i can kinda see the car in my head right now....dented...scraped..... hope to see more! LA-CUSTOMS 02-19-2006, 01:52 PM yeah that would be cool, is that the sort of theme your going for ? like doors hanging off and stuff ? :) denman2 02-21-2006, 02:38 PM Last day nothing done, 'cause i Was ill. Today alittle work on the chassis and the engine. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/chassis%203.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/chassis%202.JPG this is how it stands on my table now.:screwy: I don't have anymore to say, but tomorrow i hope to do some work on the rear. Denman cham2020 02-21-2006, 03:25 PM woah you are crazy nicely done.......i like your word respect Ford-freak 02-22-2006, 02:19 AM little correction in dutch it's not a duck but a goat ( geit) Wheelin75r 02-22-2006, 03:42 AM Nice work my friend. The rust-job looks verry realistic! denman2 02-22-2006, 03:02 PM I added the rearwheel section ( is the suspensionsystem is the simplest part of this kit, just screw together:grinyes: ) And dry fitted the engine, cooling and bodyshell. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/dryfit%201.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/dryfit%202.JPG On the background is (maybe) the next project:evillol: . now the dryfit tryout feels OK, I'll glue the engine and cooling to the chassis and do some detailpainting. I just have to find out how the sparkplugcables are assembled so i can add these. You can see on the shell is still nothing done:jump3: Denman denman2 02-23-2006, 02:42 PM I'm a little shy to say this, but it's gonna be quiet aroud the 2 CV for a wile:disappoin . I made a little mistake and forgot the put the bodyshell away and the children let it fell to the floor. No problem sofar, But our dog thought it was eatable:banghead: and destrojed the body. So now i have to find a new body ( i still have some connections) before i can go on. Don't cry, it will take a few weeks before the next update. I'LL BE BACK:mad: Denman rsublime4life 02-23-2006, 02:53 PM How bad is it? You could go far a "horrible accident" look. ;-) Dont sweat it! Shit happens. denman2 02-24-2006, 03:14 PM I found an other option. Building a kitcat. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/kitcar%201.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/kitcar%202.JPG I konw this will hurt some people very bad:evillol: . Using A '41 Willy's bodyshell to make a kitcar with a 2cv engine. But I'm dutch so don't worry:screwy: , next week they are comin' to take me away:rofl: Denman LA-CUSTOMS 02-24-2006, 08:12 PM thats could be cool, the 2cv shell looks cool aswel though, if i wehre you i would still go for the citroen :) nice progress ........ denman2 03-06-2006, 02:33 PM Here we are again. The willy's body is sprayed in greyprimer and the holes for the rearlights are drilled out. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/kitcar%20body1.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/kitcar%20body2.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/kitcar%20body3.JPG The hole in the hood needs some plasicard to be filled. And now to the real project!!!!!!!!!:screwy: :nono: http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/hakwerk%201.JPG This is the big idea. A Citroën 2CV with a 383HEMI. Th willy's chassis has been sawed to pieces to fit the engine into the body. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/chassis%204.JPG Enginebrackets has been placed to the front of the suspension now. I'm busy with fitting the willys chassis under/ into the 2CV floor. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/projectchassis%201.JPG So now you're up to date with this fine project:screwy: :banghead: Denman:sorry: rsublime4life 03-06-2006, 07:30 PM I thought your shell turning into the dogs dinner? denman2 03-07-2006, 12:07 AM I found a new body ( from a friend who destroied the rest). The fitting will be a lot more work than i hoped for:banghead: Here some pic's of what is destrojed to fit the 2cv. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/P3110001.JPG http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/P3110002.JPG And the reason why i took some of the frontmudgards. http://albums.modelbrouwers.nl/coppermine/albums/userpics/10136/P3110003.JPG The engine won't fit. Why didn't i use a chevyengine:banghead: . 'cause i like hemipower!!!:grinyes: Denman Mr. Me. 03-11-2006, 11:10 AM wow! It`s a BBIIGG ENGINE!
