if i had alot of money i'd put that on the road, just a frame, body, wheels, engine, and radio. along with other things like steering and suspension. use huge wheels, like tractor wheels but really really wide. and increase the power a bit with more boost + more fuel. that'd be sweet.

sort of reminds me of this hot rod i saw a thing about on tv

it was called the Tank Rod. and it had a V12 tank engine mounted in the front of a custom chasiss. everything about this car was giant..and it weighted like 4 tones.

If I had the money, I'd give him $50k for them... oh wait, I can get that much from a pair of 5.9 Cummins for $10k... :)

Yeah its over priced for what you end up with, but still... its massive... and isnt that what really matters?

hmm...we have truck racing here in the UK. they run on 12-litre straight sixes and produce over 1,000bhp. and 4,500lb/ft of torque. that said i wouldn't mind having these engines.

they're more of a penis-extension than a 12-litre.

Well, I could make the framerails a bit longer in my kart...What side do you think it'd land on when I hit the throttle?

imagine finding a way to stick that into a delsol

lol delsol...1450 hp isnt that much. you could turbo some bb chevy motor and make that much power, and have it fit in a car.

diesels don't make a great deal of horsepower because they don't rev high. you might not think that's a lot of power but they're probably pushing over 2,500lb/ft of torque. diesels are better for torque which is why they're used for haulage and so on. a petrol/gas engine isn't suitable for this kind of application.

i'd rather have one of these. 9000kw translates to an monumental 12,604 horsepower. that's from a 48 degree V20 diesel engine.

going to play the lottery...

EDIT - with that link, click the 8000 series engine at the bottom.

1450 IS alot and it takes alot to get that out of most engines that can fit in most CARS.

Beyond that the engine probably makes peak torque in the 1000-2000 RPM rang...so it probably has 4,000 lb/ft of torque :)

Yeah. A BB Chevy with completely new internals and bolt-ons. Not really a Chevy anymore. More like a Donovan 417.

That turbo is sick.
