Stephen 325TDS 02-18-2006, 09:55 AM 'sounds as though it might be something amiss in the drivetrain. There is a flexi-disc (guibo) / rubber coupling up near the gearbox, and there is the coupling at the differential. There might be some "slap" in the shafts/joint to the wheels. HTH. yeah its sounds like that if you think about, but would it really make that noise sound like some one is grinding some thing aganist some thing, and also do u think its an expensive job... Stephen 325TDS 02-19-2006, 01:17 PM I don't know about dealer/garage prices, as I try to carry out my own repairs. However, I would suspect that replacing any one of these couplings/joints would take around a couple of hours. Stephen do u think it could be the differntial assembley it self, and whats the part called thats locaeted near differential case..... guibeo coupling right muleman 02-20-2006, 11:19 AM Bluebimmer - You have not mentioned year, model, miles, etc, however you will want to check the differential mount bushing. Also check the tranny mounts and driveshaft center mount and bearing.
